We just bought this for my 13 yr old for his birthday. It has been fun for our whole family. My youngest is 6 and she has even mastered it. We have had fun to see who could get the highest score. There is 6 of us playing in order and the kids always win. Hopefully they will come out with other games for it since it is limited with the selections.

When my family saw this game we thought this is going to be loads of fun. I usually am a big fan of Activision games but this by far is the worst game I have ever wasted $119 on. The graphics are extremely poor, game play is slow reacting, long load time and extremely difficult to learn the moves. The board is solidly constructed and not a cheap piece of plastic. We have not encountered any of the connecting difficulties as some others have mentioned but overall a complete disappointment.

I give it 2 stars since the whole concept is pretty neat but Activision needs to work on offering better player interaction and more realistic game play.

This review was written by Mom, but the game was fresh out of the box and played by 2 – 14 yr. old sk8boarders. (They are also very tall boys – don’t be afraid of the plastic skateboard) You don’t need to know how to skate before using this game.

It’s really fun because the board has great sensors. there are even velcro stirps to put on for use on carpet. Lots of exercise for indoors. It feels right, just lean around on the board, follow the screen. Different options for game play. “We were doing real tricks and the guy on the screen was doing completely different stuff – way cool, so much fun to mess around with.” Sense of humour essential here!

It does have a rating of E10 for lyrics (that’s kids under 10)but they’re really not that noticeable, the music randomly shuffles, nothing inappropriate (says the boy scout/camp counselor). You can ride in real places around the world with real skaters from real teams and real sponsor companies.

It has the “cartoony vibe” of a Hawk game. It doesn’t have the high-tech “physics” of other games (game physics are the laws of physics introduced to make the effects appear more real to the observer.)For example”you can go through a wall and end up backwards and fall – total fail, but a laugh riot”

It was created to be used on all different platforms like the wii.

Spent an hour last night trying to get the board to calibrate. Moved furniture to make sure it had a clear 4ft space around the board. It still would not calibrate. Got mad a Tony Hawk’s voice telling me this would be the “easiest thing I’d do all day”. Called Activision’s help line, it is only open M-F 8-5pm. Tried again this morning – moved the Wii and the sensor and could not get it to work for anything. Maybe I got a bad game or a bad board – but at this point I don’t want it.

This game worked great for exactly one week before we had troubles with it. Now the board looses connection frequently, if it connects at all.

No, it always doesn’t register the moves correctly, but if you’re not a serious gamer (like myself) it really doesn’t make a difference. I think it would be better for the kids.

I think Activision has a lot of bugs to fix before the game will work as it should.
