Seeing how AMAZON.COM has yet to ship the damn thing, when I pre-ordered it about a month ago, I just went out and bought one at a local store on RELEASE DAY.

Do not buy it from AMAZON.COM, as their shipping is SUPER SLOW. Still shows as “not shipped”

What a shame, thought amazon.com was good.

    Wii Remote: $40

    Wii Nunchuck: $20

    Wii MotionPlus: $20

    —————-

Total cost of Wii controller: $80

    This is RIDICULOUS.

The Wii Remote + Nunchuck combination is already the most expensive controller for home video game consoles, but now Nintendo expects me to buy MORE add-ons?

I have already spent $180 buying controllers and nunchucks for my Wii. I am not going to spend another $80 just because Nintendo did not make their controllers as sensitive as they should have the first time around.

I did not notice a vast difference in the Wii motionPlus’ enhanced accuracy over all. We have Wii sports and the only game on it that I did notice a slight difference is tennis. I bought it to play with the boxing game because as it stands your character doesn’t always punch when you do. It still doesn’t with the MotionPlus. We also have the Shaun White Roadtrip game. It doesn’t make that any more enhanced either. But since tennis is my favorite game I guess it’s fine, but it is not a necessary purchase for your Wii system.

When it has came down to the Nintendo Wii, it has been the most influential video game system of the past several years. But while other companies like Microsoft and Sony are trying to make similar products to catch up to where Nintendo is expanding, Nintendo has made a new expansion for the Wii called the Wii MotionPlus. this device is simple and easy to setup with the Wii-mote, and works with new titles like Grand Slam Tennis and the new Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010. It works like a charm on these titles, as well as upcoming games like Wii Sports Resort. Sadly though, there is one big disadvantage, the Wii MotionPlus is not compatable with earlier games for the Wii like Super Mario Galaxy or Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Hopefully though, Nintendo can make something that will make that happen in the software. But, nevertheless, it works beautifully for the current games like Gran Slam Tennis well, but I honestly hope there are more great titles this can be used for.
